Report Missing Baggage

If your baggage does not arrive with you at your destination, you should first notify the airline that the baggage did not arrive at your flight’s end-point. The airline will provide the tracking information needed to file a report with Blue Ribbon Bags. All missing baggage must be reported to Blue Ribbon Bags within 24 hours of passenger’s flight landing.

It is essential that you first report the bag missing to the airline, get a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) with a file reference and then forward those details to Blue Ribbon Bags within 24 hours of the flight arrival.

If the missing baggage is not recovered within 96 hours (four days), Blue Ribbon Bags will pay a guarantee of LKR270,000

The service can be purchased right up to check in and includes gate-checked bags

The policy covers every flight on every airline, everywhere in the world

Receipts for lost baggage contents are NOT required to receive payment and if the bag is returned after 96 hours, the payment is still guaranteed
